Susan Peel, MS, ATC Senior Vice President

Currently Vice President of Operations, Susan Peel has been a Work-Fit® Operations Expert since 1994. Susan earned her BS in Physical Education from Western Michigan University and an MS in Physical Education from the University of Tennessee. Susan spent 10 years at the University of Michigan as Athletic Training Coordinator. She has extensive experience in setting up effective workplace health and safety programs for large and small companies in a variety of industries. Postgraduate training for Susan has included Ergonomics, Job Analysis & Field Studies, and Occupational Ergonomics.

Michael VanAmberg, MA, ATC, CSCS, Vice President of Operations

Michael has been with Work-Fit® since 1993. Currently as Vice President of Operations Manager, he has coordinated start up and daily operations of a variety of this organization’s sites. Michael has been instrumental in initiating processes to ensure consistent procedures throughout Work-Fit®. Client deliverables and reporting have been his specialties. Michael has a BS in Athletic Training from Central Michigan University and an MA in Management from the University of Phoenix.

Pete BuczekPete Buczek, VP of Operations Leadership Safety Systems

Pete Buczek has recently joined Work-Fit® as Vice President - Operations, Leadership Safety Systems, to leverage his extensive experience and success in workplace safety. He recently left General Motors after a 39 year career which started as a General Motors Institute coop student at the Chevrolet Tonawanda Metal Casting Plant. After receiving his B.I.A., he moved through several Chevrolet manufacturing plants primarily in the safety function in addition to industrial relations and manufacturing. Pete earned a reputation as a Health and Safety Leader by senior executives, peers and subordinate level managers, competitor companies, union leadership and independent safety professionals. He is recognized as a primary expert in developing and implementing a leadership culture change process that established accountability for workplace safety at all levels of the Corporation.  Through his expertise and leadership, the organization achieved a 96% injury rate reduction which prevented thousands of significant injuries, improved productivity and became an example for other functional systems to follow.  These results are considered industry benchmark health and safety performance for both North American and Global operations.  Pete became the corporate expert on energy control & lock out, machining and casting safety processes as well as leadership safety management systems.  He has presented to the ASSE, National Safety Council, various state and local conferences and to Ford and Chrysler leadership.  Competitor companies have called upon him to assist in serious safety issues, including fatality investigations.  At Work-Fit®, he is establishing a broad array of workplace consulting services for organizations to develop, implement and monitor systems for the prevention and control of workplace injuries and illnesses.  Included will be leadership and organization safety assessments, establishment of incident investigation systems with proactive correction actions, workplace safety systems, safety communications and corresponding training.  Pete is also available as an expert witness.  Services will be available to assist large organizations to improve their process as well as assisting small facilities in their day to day workplace safety needs.  He will also be available to speak to groups on the value of a leadership safety culture and the methods to make workplace safety an overriding priority.
