39 Year Safety Professional at General Motors Brings Best Safety Practices to Other Industries

Work-Fit®, Inc. welcomes Pete Buczek as Vice President of Operations-Leadership Safety Systems. He comes from General Motors having spent thirty nine years, most recently as the Senior Manager for Health and Safety for GM Powertrain Division’s global operations. Pete and his team, including his union partners at GM, developed a world class safety record; based on a leadership driven model. Pete now brings that expertise to the world manufacturing marketplace. He is respected by manufacturing leadership and health & safety professionals throughout the worldwide automotive community.

There is a strong correlation to benchmark safety performance and an organization’s overall competitive advantage. Leadership Safety Systems is a critical component to preventing workplace injuries and the resultant worker’s compensation premiums and OSHA’s hefty fines from infractions that are unknowingly occurring in the workplace. Manufacturers, large or small, from casting, fabrication, assembly to product delivery will benefit from Pete’s leadership skills and years of experience with General Motors.
Work-Fit®’s new solution will serve employers’ who do not have the benefits of a full time safety professional or would like to establish or improve their present health & safety processes.

Pete is responsible for developing workplace safety systems, safety communications and corresponding training for Work-Fit®. Pete will act as a consultant to large and small organizations to improve their present Health and Safety systems or establish a comprehensive system; he will be available to serve as a guest speaker at local and national trade organization events for management and manufacturing groups and can serve as an expert witness for accident investigations.
